Are you a fixed mindset or a growth mindset?
Fixed mindsets believe that their abilities and talents cannot be changed. They believe their intelligence and their talent can see them through to success.

Whereas a growth mindset, they believe that their talents and abilities can be developed over time and that they can become smarter and more talented with perseverance and hard work.

How do you know what mindset you have?
Look at the statements below, the ones that you agree with the most can give you an idea of what mindset you have.

1. You're born with a certain amount of intelligence and it isn't something that can be changed.

2. No matter who you are, there isn't much you can do to improve your basic abilities and personality.

3. People are capable of changing who the are.

4. You can learn new things and improve your intelligence.

5. People either have particular talents or they don't.  You can't just acquire talent for things like music, writing, art, or athletics.

6. Studying, working hard, and practicing new skills are all ways to develop new talents and abilities.

Statements one, two and five are more of a fixed mindset, whereas three, four and six are more of a growth mindset.

How can you change your mindset?

Anybody is capable of changing their mindset, focusing on the value that you get through the journey that you have in life using. Yet when struggling with a task, i.e. saying things like I can't do this blank thing yet, replacing negative thoughts or words with more positive ones, and then finally put yourself out there. Embrace challenges, make mistakes, because if you don't try, you're not going to progress.
